Easy and healthy drinks to make at home

Focusing on one of the most important fruits of Algarve – lemons – this recipe is refreshing and ideal if you’re looking for something healthy and easy to make while you’re at home.

To name a few ways your body can benefit from lemon water:

  • It promotes hydration;
  • It’s a source of vitamin C;
  • It supports weight loss;
  • Helps with digestion;
  • It freshens breath;

How to make lemon water (you can also use orange)

  1. Squeeze half a lemon into 250ml of warm or cold water;
  2. You can add organic honey into the water for some flavour (optional);
  3. Add a few springs of mint or a cinnamon stick (also optional);

You can start your morning with a mug of warm lemon water, and keep a pitcher of water infused with a few sliced lemons in your refrigerator to drink throughout the day.
